Abstract

In order to investigate the effect of Yanghwatang (YH) and Yanghwatanggamibang (YHG) on antitumor and immune response in the mice bearing squamous cell carcinoma induced by 3-methylcholanthrene (3-MCA) and prostaglandin-F2¥á(PG-F2¥á), the change
of
tumor size, delayed type hypersensitivity (DTH), hemagglutinin titer (HA), hemolysin(HL) and rosette forming cells (RFC) were measured and evaluated by Tukey's studentized range test.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1. The tumor size was decreased significantly in the YH and the YHG groups as compared with the control group. But there was not any significant value between the experimental groups.
2. DTH was increased with no statistical significance in the YH and the YHG groups as compared with the control group.
3. HA titer was significantly increased in the YH group, but not in the YHG group as compared with the control group. And it did not show any significant value between the experimental groups.
4. HL titer was increased with statistical significance in the YH group, but not in the YHG group as compared with the control group. And it showed different value significantly between the experimental groups.
5. RFC was significantly increased in the YH group, but not in the YHG group as compared with the control group. And it did not show any significant value between the experimental groups.
